Rating:
- Not recommended as a first book
There is some good information in this "pamplet" but I was disappointed that it turned out to be more of a list with very little narrative. If you already have a good understanding of this subject then it might prove to be a handy tool for additional information.
Rating:
- A Marginally Useful Reference Work, But Not for the Novice
This slim volume is a marginally useful reference work for those interested in Civil War small arms ammunition. It is not, however, for the novice, though given the dearth of publications on this topic it will have to be used.
The book is logically ordered by caliber size. Photographs of bullets, including some with cartridges still attached, are presented.

- Great Book!
I have had this book for 2 years and it is the best reference on the topic of Civil War bullets. It is paper back, so you can take it with you to the shows and shops to check the dealer identification. You can't miss with this price.
